Guide to Echocardiographer Schools

A very integral part of a team of doctors and technicians who help diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease, echocardiography is a career which is on the rise and in demand.

As part of training for this career, you will learn how to use equipment----including ultrasound machines----to take images of a patient’s heart. It is this information which will help doctors determine if a patient’s heart is diseased and, if so, how to best treat the problem.

Most schools and colleges which offer training in this program do so in the form of an associate or undergraduate degree. To find a program near you, please use our search tool at the top of the page.
